Concentrate on the two circles given in the picture. They appear asymmetrical by all means but are they really? The answer is a big no. They are not asymmetrical but symmetrical or regular circles. You would still not believe us right? Why don't you go ahead and try to measure the distance from different places? If you do that or by any means, if you try to prove yourself, you will find that they are actually regular circles. The black and white pattern over the circles is actually creating an illusion that twists our perception.

You can find the circles rotating and the name is derived due to the striped pattern. So you can really feel those snakes rotating.

Is the shade of grey on the ring even on both of the sides?

This is one of the most stunning anamorphic structure we have ever come across. Just think about the calculations that are necessary before creating such an illusion. This process cannot just rely on artistic hands but also requires a lot of patience and computing. The sculptor Jonty Hurwitz does computing before he begins sculpting such anamorphic illusions. The output is simply fabulous. Search for the artist for more of such illusions by him.

At the first look, you might get confused that it is a focused picture of a caterpillar on a branch of a tree. But look closely, they are birds; European Bee-eaters to be accurate. Don't they8 look super cute cuddled together on a small branch of a tree? It is an amazing job done by the photographer. This camera angle was necessary to create this illusion.

Carefully look at the see-saw picture below. You will find that it is slanted towards the triangle. This is probably due to the weight of the triangle kept on the right side. So go ahead and measure the distance between the see-saw and the base and get ready to be amazed. The distance will obviously be equal as this see-saw is not imbalanced but perfectly balanced. You see it slant due to the across lined texture drawn opposite in the base and the see-saw plane. It forms an illusion that things are imbalanced.

Yes it is just a bowl of popcorn. We all love to munch them in the movie theaters or while chilling out at our homes. But next time you buy popcorn for yourself, do look at them closely. You did not look closely at even this image. Do it now. Did you find it? The tiny little popcorns that you are watching have a formation of skulls. Does that gives you a feeling that you might have been munching tiny little skulls every time you ate popcorns? Well that's a creepy thought now.

This is one of the simple physiological illusions. You can clearly see the checkers converging just right of the middle. Probably you can also feel like the two different planes are rolling down at that point. However, that is not true and this is only what you are perceiving. The reason behind this is the difference in the width of the checkers that is decreasing as they reach that point. It makes us think like they are ultimately falling down or rolling down at that point.

Though the resolution of this image is pretty small, you can still find out the reason we have posted this in our illusion list. In the mountains far ahead, you can clearly see a shape that can be referred to as a skull. The hollow eyes are even creepy adding a whole new impression to the illusion. The third hole below the one we referred as eyes can be taken as the nose. This is absolutely impressive as from a distance this far, it do appears like a skull crafted on the mountains.

The good ol' friendly neighborhood is here with his mask carved into the pumpkin. The pumpkin is not visible due to the emitting bright light but we assure you that it is actually a pumpkin carving only. Definitely the artist has done a good job here as the mask looks exactly like we have seen in the comic books. Next time you are looking for an idea, you might want to carve out The Dark Knight or Iron Man probably.

Now this has to be a tribute to the legend that is present alive in so many hearts today. The shadow as you see clearly hints towards Michael Jackson in his signature pose. But what created the shadow? As you cans see in the front, there is scraped metal that has probably been welded together. It's crazy if you start thinking how do artists work upon such illusions. Well the answer should be the dedication and hard work they do while doing such things. It does not happens over a night but requires days of practice.
