It seems like this image will never stop. There is no animation included. But the opposite spiral pattern on the donut shape and the background keeps contradicting with each other and thus reproduce and output that is received by our eyes as motion. But what makes this structure special is that this illusion is entirely impossible. It has been created by Pawel Hynek and he did it in 2006. The beauty about the illusion is how naturally it has been created. The operation room headlights has been used to create most of the skull while the surgeons' heads acts as eyes and imparting the proper shape. A cadaver has been used to form the teeth. It is really awesome right?

This illusion will work best if you look at this image from a distance. From up close, you can see the rough outlines of the leaves but from a distance, you won't be able to trace them and then you will have a hard time deciding whether this picture is of a leaf or a close up of supple lips. The color of leaf (or it may have been colored artificially) is a big contributor to the overall ambiguous effect.

This is one of the simple physiological illusions. You can clearly see the checkers converging just right of the middle. Probably you can also feel like the two different planes are rolling down at that point. However, that is not true and this is only what you are perceiving. The reason behind this is the difference in the width of the checkers that is decreasing as they reach that point. It makes us think like they are ultimately falling down or rolling down at that point.

These two friends are holding the sides of the elevator with one hand and holding each other's hand with the other. The reason is simple. The elevator floor is broken or has just broken down leaving them stranded inside. But they are laughing right. This is because they are just posing for the same. Nothing has broken down and it's just a 3d art that you see on the elevator floor. The artist has done a good job but probably these girls could have expressed fear instead of excitement to make it more impressive.

What has been painted here is that the girl is sitting on a giant sofa and reading some book. There is a table in front of her that comprises of some more books, a vase, a glove, a fruit and a hand fan. But of course, we can also perceive the face of a man. The border of the sofa appears to be his hair, the armrest as his ears. The vase plant acts as one of his eyes, the hair of the girl as his eyebrows, her arms as his nose and the books and legs as the mouth portion. Well it is not a handsome figure but the face is evident. Another amazing painting illusion right?

Yes it's just a lamp. Look at the image now. We are sure you must have found the lamp now. But what was the first image you perceived in this illusion? That's not fault. The mind can play dirty sometimes. So what might have appeared as the legs of a woman is actually a lamp. The factor important in creating this illusion is the background color. It matches so much with the skin color that anybody can get the wrong idea.

This is an old trick. Even you can create this pattern. But first of all, what do you feel while looking at the illusion. Stare at the center of the image and then move your eyes to the surrounding areas and you will feel the pattern to be moving and it is actually quite trippy. It won't stop until you look away or close the tab. The trick if you want to create one yourself is to stretch the tiny square as you move out of the center. This is a brilliant work of art. If you remove the piece of paper from his hand, you will notice that the picture actually comprised of stairs leading to the surface. The artist took the liberty to draw those stairs on the paper and made Mickey Mouse stand on top of the last step. He wrote down an amazing quote and drew additional things that are not present in the original seascape. Then he took the picture of his art from a distance and at an angle from where it merges with the real environment. Amazing really!
