Watchguard Technologies Interview Process

I applied at Watchguard Technologies for the post of Staff Software Engineer through an online application and was interviewed at Watchguard Technologies. I faced a telephonic interview and two on-site interviews in the hiring process. The process took two day only.

Round 1 - Telephonic Interview
The telephonic interview was based on the basic knowledge of technicalities. They wanted to confirm if the candidate is talented enough to be even called for the on-site interview or not. At first, I was asked questions about myself. What I liked, how serious I was in studies, what are my strong areas, what sort of projects did I do while I was studying etc. After that, some basic technical questions based on data structures, arrays and OS were asked. The overall interview lasted for a bit more than half an hour and then I was called for the on-site interview.

Round 2 - First On-Site Interview
The first on-site interview was technical one. The interview lasted for about an hour. I would say that only basic questions or a bit lengthy coding problems were given. I found the interview to be quite easy. Also, the interviewer was very easy going although quite talented.

Round 3 - Second On-Site Interview
The second interview was the HR round. I had to introduce myself again as the interviewer picked up my resume and read it. The following questions were obviously based on my resume then. I was asked about my previous projects as well. I was asked about the problems I faced and how I got over them. Then I was asked some basic HR questions like what is my goal and where do I see myself in five years' time. After that, the offer was made which I accepted as it was what my expectations were.

How to crack (get into) Watchguard Technologies Interview

To crack the Watchguard Technologies interview is a pretty easy task if you have prepared somewhat seriously for your interview. The reason is that they will be asking you basic questions only. If you were any serious with your studies, you won't even have to prepare much as you will already be knowing the basic things.

The telephonic interview is very easy. Just tell them about yourself and make it sound impressive. Of course, your confidence wills peak. Thus be confident in everything you speak. After the technical interview, you will have to answer a few questions on your resume. Thus make sure that you be prepared with your answers. You can even be eliminated at this stage and thus you should be prepared for it.
