UST Global Interview Process

I applied through my college for the position of Software Engineer in UST Global. The process was fast and took only a couple of days. Then I was called by a representative and told about my scheduled interview. The interview process consisted of three different rounds - Aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview.

Round 1 - Written Aptitude Test
It was a multiple choice based aptitude test. The questions were based on logical reasoning and coding decoding concepts. There was a time limit but that did not matter as the test was quite easy and designed to be completed of well before the time limit. The clearing marks were also not too tough to crack. A week of practice will get you in for sure.

Round 2 - Group Discussion Round
The group discussion Round was very strenuous. The reason was that a hot topic i.e. crimes against women was given to our group. Everybody was shouting their opinions like anything. As a result the moderators might not have been able to listen to anyone clearly. But maybe I made my opinion clear and I was shortlisted for the personal interview.

Round 3 - Personal Interview Interview
It was not exactly a technical interview as most of the questions were regarding my resume and myself. They asked me about my family and all. They were interested in knowing why I chose to switch from mechanical to an IT company. I had my fair reasons and thus it was not a problem for me. They asked me if I was serious towards the profession or just trying out for a while. Some technical questions regarding java and database queries were asked which were quite basic.

How to crack ( Get Into ) UST Global Interview

The hiring process at UST Global was fairly simple with no serious pressure on the candidates. The number of candidates were not too much and thus no one had to wait a lot. This was quite beneficial in the sense that long wait can ruin your patience as well as confidence.

First of all, the aptitude test was quite simple and I solved almost every question there. The group discussion Round was awkward as the people were trying to shout out their opinions instead of neatly placing them forward. So, if everybody is shouting, you can't really keep quiet. But remember to place valid opinions that you can justify if asked. The personal interview was not technical and more of an HR kind of thing. But yes brush up the basics of database structures and java based basic questions. They might throw a couple of them at you.

Rest you need not worry as if you are serious for a job, you will surely crack the UST Global interview. My best wishes with all the applicants.
