TRG Interview Process

I applied at TRG for the post of Analyst Software Engineer through my university. I was interviewed at TRG and the process took a whopping two months. There were a total of four rounds in the hiring process at TRG.

But before everything there was a pre interview test as it was a campus placement. Unexpectedly, the test was not technical by any terms. However, it was purely based on analytical and IQ based questions. The test is a bit through and not many passed through it. But if you do, you will be called in for the technical interviews.

Round 1 - Technical Interview
The first technical interview was pretty basic. It was based on the basic fundamentals and the questions were easy. The interview lasted just half an hour and in that time, there was also a basic introduction. Therefore you won't face much questions in this round.

Round 2 - Second Technical Interview
This round was more technical than the first one. Questions were asked on OOP and SQL. The concentration was more on SQL though. So that is the area if you want to go through this round with a positive impression. Some of the questions that were asked are:
Q1. Differentiate between inner and outer join with example.
Q2. What is Self Join? What is the need for it?

Round 3 - Analytical Interview
If and only if you clear the first two technical interviews, you will be notified through mail or call and will be called for the analytical interview. This interview is totally based on your problem solving skills. They want that the person they hire should have a good judgment over situational problems. The interview was not difficult and should not be a problem.

Round 4 - Telephonic Interview
After the analytical interview, I had a telephonic interview with the head and manager of the Lahore Site and Karachi Site. There were technical questions asked in this round at first. Then they moved on to analytical skills again. After that, there were behavioral questions. They also checked my language skills. The interview was a long one and if you have a troublesome network, it might create a problem.

After two weeks, I got the confirmation call and I liked the offer. So there was no negotiation done and I accepted their offer.

How to crack TRG Interview

TRG is a nice place to work. Since I worked in the company, I will say that it is good for freshers. Also, the interviews are not quite difficult and if you study, you can crack it easily. The thing that annoyed me the most in the hiring process was the long gaps in between interviews and between confirmation and the last interview.

Of course, you will need to study for cracking the interview. But other than that, start working up on your analytical skills. There will be many questions on that and there will be test based on that too. All the best for your interviews.

Thanks Anmol for sharing the details of your interview.
