Oracle Interview Process

I applied for the position of Software Engineer from my university and the process took almost three weeks. Finally, I was interviewed at Oracle. There are four rounds in total at Oracle - Programming Round, 2 Technical Rounds, and Manager Round.

Before all those rounds, we had an online test on our campus which consisted of questions related with basic programming, data structures, OS and aptitude.

Round 1 - Programming Round
It is pretty easy to clear this programming round. If you have studied during your college time, you will be able to clear it easily. I did not find any difficult questions and was able to complete the test easily.

Round 2 - First Technical Interview Round
Get your arrays and strings in order as this is what I was asked majorly about in this round. The only thing I did not like in this round was that there was no uniformity in the questions and they were random. It seemed the interviewer was not interested in the process or was not present there totally. Some questions:
1) There is an array that comprises of 1s and 0s. Shift all the 1s to the right and all the 0s to the left.
2) Reverse only the sequence of words in the string.

Round 3 - Second Technical Interview Round
The interviewer first asked me about the questions that I was asked about in the previous round. Again, I felt that the interviewer was not interested as he kept on moving out while he had asked me to code towers of Hanoi. Some more questions that were asked:
1) A sorted array has numbers from 1 to 100. A number is missing. Find the number without traversing the full array.
2) Reverse only the sequence of words in the string.

Round 4 - Manager Round
Don't expect anything unusual in this round. Some questions of data structures were asked but no need to be surprised as the focus was more on knowing about you and your potential. Where do you see yourself after five years? Why Oracle? What are your future plans? Questions like this were asked.

How to crack Oracle Interview

Frankly, I did not find the interview process difficult. I was comfortable in answering most of the questions. The online test was the easiest I have ever given. This is the reason why maximum of the students who appeared in the test were chosen for interview.

The programming round is easy. All you will have to apply is simple codes and programming as the problems were not complex.

First technical round was pretty easy too. Second technical round can be weighed a bit more on the difficult side in comparison. Prepare well on strings and arrays and data structures. Most of the questions were asked covering these topics only.

The manager round is nothing to worry about. Don't be nervous is what I will suggest. Just answer whatever is being asked and try to impress the interviewer. Do negotiate when the offer is made.

I feel if you prepare nicely, you will definitely crack the interview. I feel it is easy compared to many other companies. Wishing luck to all the candidates.

Thanks Sahu for sharing the details of your interview.
