Mindtree Interview Process

I applied online for the position of Software Engineer at Mindtree. The process took monly one day and then I was interviewed at Mindtree. The interview process consisted of four different rounds namely an aptitude written test, a group discussion, a technical interview and an HR round.

Round 1 - Written Test
They give you a time limit and then you have to complete the entire test within that time frame. This written test was based on general aptitude, logical puzzles and basic mathematics. I was able to complete the test within the given time frame. There should not be any difficulty in completing the test if you have prepared for interviews. However if you go for the test without any preparation, you might feel different.

Round 2 - Group Discussion
The GD round was a basic one. They needed to check who among the candidates is confident enough and who is speaking relevant things. By saying that I do mean that there is no need of blabbering things if you have no idea about it. Thee round was normal and refreshing.

Round 3 - Technical Round
Since I was a fresher at that time, the technical interview was all about the basic algorithms, data structures and basic coding. The interviewer was a nice person and very helpful and supportive. I was also asked about the projects that I did back in college. They asked me about my strong points as well.
Q1. How to reverse a string in Java?
Q2. Differentiate between stack and queue data structure.

Round 3 - HR Round
All the questions were as you had expected from an HR interview and human resources based. They were interested in my resume as well and talked about my extra-curricular activities as well. After that, they asked me the basic questions like why I wanted to join their company etc.

How to crack(Get Into) Mindtree Interview

I applied for the fresher position in Mindtree and thus the process must be simpler than for the senior positions. So I will be talking about just my experience or for the fresher level interviews.

As I said earlier as well, the process was comfortable and the interviewers were nice as well. The written test is simple and you need a week's preparation before you will be able to crack it. As for the group discussion, they are barely there to judge the confidence or over confidence of the candidates. It should not be of any worries.

Prepare for data structure, algorithms, OS and java based question for the technical round. But yes only basic level questions were asked so you should not put quiet a lot stress to it. If you are technically sound even a bit, you can answer the questions. The HR interview round was nothing out of the box and you might already know what to expect in that. I have mentioned the rest above as well.

So all I can say is best of luck to the candidates and that it was an easy interview for me.
