thePlatform Interview Process
I applied at thePlatform for the post of Senior Java Software Developer through a recruiter. The process took just a day and I was interviewed at thePlatform. There were a total of three rounds in the hiring process at thePlatform.
Round 1 - First Face to Face Interview
I was contacted by an internal recruiter and after a few basic questions, my on-site interview was scheduled. This interview was taken by a pair of engineers. The interview lasted for about an hour and I was asked a lot of java based questions. Some of the questions were difficult while some were average in difficulty. The interviewers were full of knowledge and offered there help where I was stuck which was really good of them. Some of the questions that were asked in the interview:
Q1. How will you insert two million records from a csv to database? Include all the file handling and database scenarios.
Q2. Find a loop in linked and write code for whether a BT is BST.
Q3. How will you implement torrent like file sharing system.
Round 2 - Second Face to Face Interview
The next round was the managerial round. There were two interviewers again. This round was not technical wholly. There were some questions in the beginning which I was able to answer and after that, they were more interested in my previous projects that I did back in my previous job. I was asked about the difficulties that were faced by me while completing the projects. There were a few human behavioral based questions asked as well. They wanted a smart person who can work well even under a lot of pressure and thankfully they liked my approach towards the things.
Round 3 - HR Round
Since I was not a fresher, there was nothing much to do in this round. There were some questions repeated which were asked to me in the previous round as well. Some resume based questions were asked and then an offer was made right away. The offer was negotiable but I could not raise it much. Still, I was satisfied.
How to crack thePlatform Interview
Since I applied for the senior post, I'll be talking about that only. The interview process was really really smooth. I felt no pressure at all while in the interviews. The interviewers were quite nice and thoroughly talented and knowledge-full. This is a big plus if you are planning to crack any interview.
Other than that, if you have read the questions that I have shared above, you will be able to judge the level of difficulty. You have to be prepared for any level of difficulty. Also, in the managerial round, you will be asked about your previous projects and so be prepared for that too.
All the best to all the appearing candidates for their respective interviews. If you manage to get through, you will find that the company is quite good. The people are really nice.
Thanks for sharing the details of your interview.
