Logica Interview Process
I applied for the position of Software Engineer in Logica through an employee referral. The process more than four weeks. Finally after the long wait, I received a call that stated that my interview was fixed at Logica. The hiring process included four different rounds - Aptitude test, group discussion, technical and skills test and HR interview.
Round 1 - Written Aptitude Test
It was purely an aptitude test. Most of the companies also include basic coding or technical questions in the written test but here it was just based on the logical reasoning and IQ based puzzles or questions. It was good for me as I am excellent at reasoning and thus I was able to complete the test quickly. I would say that the questions were easy and the serious applicants can score the clearing marks easily.
Round 2 - Group Discussion Round
There were two topics which were given to my group in the group discussion round:
Both the topics were interesting and candidates had myriad things to speak about for each of them. It was funny listening to some of the opinions and may be they did not even landed on the next interview. This is what is necessary. You must be informative and not a person babbling stuff he himself does not know about for sure. Make only valid points and be specific in your opinion.
Round 3 - Technical Interview
The technical interview was not as difficult as I had expected. There were a lot of questions asked but all of them were related with the basic knowledge only. Some of the questions:
Q1. What are the major data structures used in RDBMS, Network Data Model and Hierarchical Data Model?
Q2. What is the minimum number of queues needed to implement the priority queue?
Q3. What do you know about binary semaphore?
Most of the questions were based on data structures, data management and OS. There was also a short skill test to test if you know the basic coding or not. The overall difficulty of this interview was moderate and not difficult.
Round 4 - HR Interview
The HR interview was perfectly as expected. There were plenty of questions thrown at me by the interviewer. I guess I did a nice job answering them if not great. The thing is that questions are fired at you without any break. You don't get enough time to think or manipulate your answers.
Q1. Describe an ideal job.
Q2. What made you choose your major?
How to crack (get into) Logica Interview
The interview process at Logica is pretty tiring. There were a lot of candidates and may be they were not expecting it to be like this. As a result, I had to wait for so long for my interviews which was tiring. But that is not a permanent case (I guess and hope it is not).
Other than that, cracking Logica Interview is really not a tough job. The reason is that the questions were pretty simple in the written as well as the technical interview. I had no problem in answering them at all. For starters, you must prepare well on data structures, database management, strings and arrays and OS based questions. Even at that, just prepare the basics. They won't be asking you tough questions. Even if they do that will be rare and you can create a good impression by answering the other ones.
The negotiations can be done and if you are good at it, try your best. They are likely to listen to you if they like you and that depends on your performance. So first analyze your performance and then speak up.
The interview process though tiring was an amazing experience. Hope you find the same and wish you a great luck for your interview.
Thanks Divyanshu for sharing the details of your interview.
