Langoor Digital Interview Process

I applied online for the position of Web Developer at Langoor Digital. The process three days and then I was called for the interview at the company. The interview consisted of two technical rounds only.

Round 1 - First Technical Round
Almost all the questions were focused on the technical stuff and web related as well. It was pretty clear that they prefer people from a PHP background. Most of the back end question were based on PHP only. The front end questions were related with JavaScript DOM architecture and JQuery majorly.

Round 2 - Second Technical Round
This was both a technical round and an HR round. Thus most probably you will find 2-3 interviewers in this round. For half of the time, the concentration of the questions was on the technical questions.
Q1. Designing a database for Facebook.
Q2. Process queuing utilizing PHP.
After the technical questions, I was asked the HR related questions. They were the usual questions like
Q1. Why do you want to join us?
Q2. Have you tried in other companies?
Q3. What is your goal?
After these questions, the offer was made and negotiations were done.

How to crack(get into) Langoor Digital Interview

The interview process at Langoor Digital is quite comfortable and simple, thus anyone with a sound technical knowledge can easily crack the interview at Langoor Digital.

As I have described above as well, there are only two rounds of interviews at the company. The first round is hardcore technical round. As I have mentioned earlier as well, they are looking for someone with a PHP background. Thus make sure that you are the one before applying. I found that the backend questions were based on PHP only and thus it won't be wise to go without that knowledge. Also, prepare for java and query based questions. If you can get through the first round, you will find the second round easier.

The reason is that it is not a hardcore technical round. For the latter half of the interview, you will be asked Human Resources related questions along with the basic HR questions. That remains the same in every company and thus there is nothing to worry about in that regards.

Regarding negotiation, you can try your best as they are open for it. I was able to negotiate to 25 percent with determined say in that. If you also speak up confidently, they are likely to hear you.

Also, I would say that if you are smart, they will definitely like you and may even overlook a couple of unanswered questions.

All the best for your interviews.

Tough River Crossing Riddle

This one is a bit of tricky river crossing puzzle than you might have solved till now. We have a whole family out on a picnic on one side of the river. The family includes Mother and Father, two sons, two daughters, a maid and a dog. The bridge broke down and all they have is a boat that can take them towards the other side of the river. But there is a condition with the boat. It can hold just two persons at one time (count the dog as one person).

No it does not limit to that and there are other complications. The dog can’t be left without the maid or it will bite the family members. The father can’t be left with daughters without the mother and in the same manner, the mother can’t be left alone with the sons without the father. Also an adult is needed to drive the boat and it can’t drive by itself.

How will all of them reach the other side of the river?

Popular Logical Brain Teaser

A couple had to take shelter in a hotel for they could not proceed their journey in the rain. Having nothing to do at all, they started playing cards. Suddenly there was a short circuit and the lights went off. The husband inverted the position of 15 cards in the deck (52 cards normal deck) and shuffled the deck.

Now he asked his wife to divide the deck into two different piles which may not be equal but both of them should have equal number of cards facing up. There was no source of light in the room and the wife was unable to see the cards.

For a certain amount of time, she thought and then divided the cards in two piles. To the husband’s astonishment, both of the piles had equal number of cards facing up.

How did she do it?
