Tech Mahindra Interview Process
I applied through college / university for the position of Software Engineer at Tech Mahindra and the process took just a day. The interview process consisted of three different rounds - written test, technical interview and HR interview.
Round 1 - Written Test
The written test had two sections - aptitude test and basic C language test. The aptitude questions were moderately difficult including a couple or more tricky one. Nonetheless, I was able to solve them in time. The C language test depends on how good you are in the basic and intermediate level. If you are good technically and theoretically, you will find no problem in answering the questions.
Round 2 - Technical Round
In the technical round, first the interviewer inquired about my favorite subject. Then the questions were asked on that subject only. But before that, they asked me about my fluctuating exam results as well. They asked me why I was not consistent. I was clearly baffled a bit at the question. So you should be ready with such questions.
Q1. Swap two variables without using the third variable.
Q2. Questions related with pointer basics.
Round 3 - HR Interview
Q1. Why do you want to join our company?
Q2. What if you get a better opportunity at a smaller company than ours?
Q3. Define yourself.
Q4. What are your weak points? What are you doing to make them strong?
These type of questions were asked from me in the HR Interview. You can find all the basic HR related questions online. Nothing different was asked.
How to crack(Get Into) Tech Mahindra Interview
Let me first clear one thing. I was a fresher and thus the process that I have written or whatever I will write here belongs only to the freshers. If you are an experienced candidate you should check somewhere else.
To say that the interview was easy or even to say that it was difficult will not be able to define it optimally. The tension created in the interview room was something that you should be worried of. Just try to stay calm and confident. It's their strategy to put you under pressure. They need to check how you deal with things under pressure. Thus try to be confident. The only way of achieving it are mock interviews with your seniors or faculties.
Read all sort of basic HR questions. Prepare your mind for any sort of those questions and do think of the answer for them and how you will answer if a question is asked based on your answer.
Other than that, the environment at Tech Mahindra is amazing. It's a good company to start your career with. All the best for your interviews.
Thanks Neelam for sharing the details of your interview.
