Capgemini Interview Process
I applied for the position of Software Engineer in Capgemini via a recruiter. The process took a week and then I was called for the interview in the company. The process comprised of three different rounds which I will brief about here.
Round 1 - Written Aptitude Test
The aptitude test consisted of the logical reasoning questions and puzzles for most of it. If you are good in that, you won't find a problem ion scoring enough to get through to the next round. There is of course a time limit to do the test but I found that it is enough for completing the test. I did not feel any pressure over myself regarding the time limit. Also the questions were easy mostly.
Round 2 - Written Technical Test
After you clear the aptitude test, you will face the technical written test. In this round, you can expect basic terminologies and the basic coding problems. You are appearing in the interview only when you have prepared and if you have prepared, you will easily be able to clear the test. These two rounds are designed to separate the non-serious candidates most probably. If you are a serious one, you will have no problem till now.
Round 3 - Face to Face Interview
This is the only round that will be the deciding factor. Now, you need to be technically sound to crack this round. But saying that, I am not implying that the questions that were asked were too difficult or something. But yes they were a step advance than in the written test. Other than the basic java and mysql or C coding problems, you can also expect question regarding the testing and automation tools like Quick Test Professional and Load Runner.
After that, you will be asked questions based on your resume. They will focus on the project that you did and will ask you many questions regarding it like:
1) What did you learn while you completing the project?
2) What kinds of problems did you face?
Just answer the questions truthfully and you won't have much problem.
How to crack (get into) Capgemini Interview
I can say that the interview process at Capgemini was overall easy and easier than many other IT companies. There is just one face to face interview which serves as a boon for the freshers. Less PIs mean less pressure. One can easily clear the written test but when it comes to the PI, not many people have that confidence. Thus it is a plus points for such people.
Like I said, written tests are simple and you can score clearing marks easily. The personal interview as well was simple as the interviewer was an awesome person. I did not feel the pressure of interview and the whole session was quite comfortable and enjoyable. Just speak truth related with your resume and you shall not find any problem.
The CTC is fixed and thus you can't negotiate with them. Although it is decent for the fresher level. My best wished with all the candidates who will be appearing for the interview at Capgemini. Give your best and you will definitely be selected.
