Activision Blizzard Interview Process
I applied at Activision Blizzard for the post at Human Resources Department through an employee referral and the process took five long weeks. I was then interviewed at Activision Blizzard. The hiring process at Symantec comprises of three rounds - Telephonic Screening and two face to face interviews.
Round 1 - Telephonic Screening
After I was referred by an employee, I received a call for the recruiter screening. I was asked about some basic questions. If you ever applied for the Human Resources department, you know already what they ask on telephonic screening. Otherwise, you can just Google the list of all basic questions. Nothing special about it and I was invited for a face to face interview in the company after it.
Round 2 - Face to Face Interview
There were three interviewers for this round. If you are a fresher, this might be a little tense for you. But believe me, for the department you are applying for, it is next to nothing. So it is a good start to learn about such things. The interview was not complicated. But the questions came without any break. This is why they keep three people. The candidate doesn't gets to breathe. The key here is to maintain the calmness and be confident.
Round 3 - Second Face to Face Interview
There was a big gap of five weeks before between this interview and the previous interview. It was a bit annoying but anyhow you can't do anything about it. So I was called in for another face to face round. This time as well, there were three interviewers in the room to bombard me with the questions. The questions were based on behavioral skills and situation based. They tested me thoroughly for how I will react or how I will handle the situation under the given circumstances. The interview was intense and there were a lot of questions asked. I did not do great by I managed to pull off just right. I am saying this because I received the offer after that. The salary they were offering was optimum for me and my experience and thus I did not negotiate.
How to crack ( get into) Activision Blizzard Interview
The interview or hiring process at Activision Blizzard was really lengthy but that might depend from recruiter to recruiter. But I loved the staff at the company. They are nice and professional people. This is something you are looking for in any company.
I agree that the interviewers put me in a lot of pressure but that does not imply their nature. They were really very nice. The pressure is put on you to test your skills. This is something you should start practicing on your own so that you don't get baffled in the interviews. The only key to crack the interviews is to stay confident and enhance your decision making skills. It's not like they are asking you anything technical. You know everything. It's about do you know everything under pressure as well?
Sit under mock interviews with your seniors or if you are a fresher, take up scenarios and practice in front of mirrors. Participating in group discussions can help as well. All you need is to boost your confidence. How you do it is entirely your pick.
