The Great War: India v/s Pakistan v/s SriLanka
Pakistan, India and Srilanka are engaged in a missile war, such that they fire one after the other, in a sequence, the sequence selected by draw of lots. The rules of war are such that the 3 countries keep on shooting at each other until they hit with the missile. This goes on until there is one last country left unhit, and then the war ends. The chances that Pakistan hits its target is 100%, Srilanka hits the target is 80% and India hits the target is 50%.
Who has the highest chance of winning the war?
Jasmine, Thibault, and Noah were having a night out and decided to order a pizza for $10. It turned out that Jasmine and Thibault were hungrier than Noah. They both ate 6 slices a piece, and Noah got to eat just 2 slices.
Now they want to do a fair split of money. The problem is that none of them have coins with them. Thus, they want to round off the cost to nearest dollar.
Since Jasmine and Thibault ate equal amount, they should pay the same amount. But since that's not possible, they can decide with 'rock, paper, scissor' or an equivalent measure to determine who will pay the extra dollar. Now, let's assume tha Jasmine pays $1 extra after losing
Jasmine will pay $5, Thibault will pay $4 and Noah will pay $2.
If the pizza's cost was $11, we can simply keep the same offset and divide. Jasmine is paying 6% more, Thibault is paying 15% more and Noah is paying 27% more.
Keeping the offset same both Jasmine and Thibault will pay $5 each and Noah will pay $1.

You are stuck with the pirates who might even kill you on board. They give you a chance to survive. There are hundred black rocks and hundred red rocks. There are two empty sacks which are labelled as heads and tails respectively. You have to divide the rocks in two bags as per your wish. Then a fair coin will be flipped. If its heads, you will have to pick a rock on random from the sack labelled heads and if its tails, you will pick up from the tails sack. If you pick up a black rock, you will be freed and if you pick up a red rock, you will be killed.
How will you distribute the rocks so that your chances of survival are the best?
We know that Christanio Ronaldo tells the truth on only a single day of the week. If the statement on day 1 is untrue, this means that he tells the truth on Monday or Tuesday. If the statement on day 3 is untrue, this means that he tells the truth on Wednesday or Friday. Since Christanio Ronaldo tells the truth on only one day, these statements cannot both be untrue. So, exactly one of these statements must be true, and the statement on day 2 must be untrue.
Assume that the statement on day 1 is true. Then the statement on day 3 must be untrue, from which follows that Christanio Ronaldo tells the truth on Wednesday or Friday. So, day 1 is a Wednesday or a Friday. Therefore, day 2 is a Thursday or a Saturday. However, this would imply that the statement on day 2 is true, which is impossible. From this we can conclude that the statement on day 1 must be untrue.
This means that Christanio Ronaldo told the truth on day 3 and that this day is a Monday or a Tuesday. So day 2 is a Sunday or a Monday. Because the statement on day 2 must be untrue, we can conclude that day 2 is a Monday.
So day 3 is a Tuesday. Therefore, the day on which Christanio Ronaldo tells the truth is Tuesday.
You can place weights on both side of weighing balance and you need to measure all weights between 1 and 1000. For example if you have weights 1 and 3,now you can measure 1,3 and 4 like earlier case, and also you can measure 2,by placing 3 on one side and 1 on the side which contain the substance to be weighed. So question again is how many minimum weights and of what denominations you need to measure all weights from 1kg to 1000kg.
Birbal is a witty trader who trade of a mystical fruit grown far in north. He travels from one place to another with three sacks which can hold 30 fruits each. None of the sack can hold more than 30 fruits. On his way, he has to pass through thirty check points and at each check point, he has to give one fruit for each sack to the authorities.
How many mystical fruits remain after he goes through all the thirty check points?
Remember we told you that Birbal is a witty trader. So his sole motive is to get rid of the sacks as fast as he can.
For the first sack:
He must be able to fill fruits from one sack to other two sacks. Assume that he is able to do that after M check points. Now to find M,
(Space in first sack) M + (Space in second sack) M = (Remaining fruits in Third Sack) 30 – M
M = 10
Thus after 10 checkpoints, Birbal will be left with only 2 sacks containing 30 fruits each.
Now he must get rid of the second sack.
For that, he must fill the fruits from second sack to the first sack. Assume that he manages to do that after N checkpoints.
(Space in First Sack) N = (Remaining fruits in second sack) 30 – N
N = 15
Thus after he has crossed 25 checkpoints, he will be left be one sack with 30 fruits in it. He has to pass five more checkpoints where he will have to give five fruits and he will be left with twenty five fruits once he has crossed all thirty check points.
