Game Of Thrones - Match Your Steps Riddle
Tyrion Lannister (a midget) and John Snow were walking across the mysterious land of Westeros. Because of their height difference Tyrion's three steps are equal to Snow's two steps. Both of them start out with their left foot. What is the minimum number of steps both must take to make sure they take the right steps together?
Two trains under a controlled experiment begin at a speed of 100 mph in the opposite direction in a tunnel. A supersonic bee is left in the tunnel which can fly at a speed of 1000 mph. The tunnel is 200 miles long. When the trains start running on a constant speed of 100 mph, the supersonic bee starts flying from one train towards the other. As soon as the bee reaches the second train, it starts flying back towards the first train.
If the bee keeps flying to and fro in the tunnel till the trains collide, how much distance will it have covered in total?
A typical way will be to start thinking about summing up the distance that the bee will travel but that will be quite a tedious task. How about we offer you a much easy solution?
The tunnel is 200 miles long and the trains are running at as peed of 100 mph which means that they will collide exactly at the center of the tunnel and seeking their speed, they will collide after an hour.
Now consider the bee which is flying at a speed of 1000 mph and will keep flying till the train collides. As calculated, it will keep flying for an hour which means the distance that it will cover is 1000 miles.
There are two glasses in front of you. One of the glasses is full of coke and the other glass is full of lemonade. You take a spoonful of coke and mix it into the glass of lemonade. Now the lemonade glass has a mixture of coke and lemonade. You take a spoonful of that mixture and mix it inside the coke glass.
Now what do you think? - The glass with coke has more quantity of lemonade or the glass with lemonade have more quantity of coke mixed with it?
This problem can be solved with algebra as well as logical reasoning. We are going to tell you how it is logically possible.
Be it any quantity that was present in the beginning and any liquid as well. We know that we have taken a spoonful from one glass and put it into another. Then, we have taken a spoonful from the other glass and put it into the first glass. So, at the end of it, the quantity of liquid in either glass remains same as it was in the beginning.
Therefore, we can conclude the fact that any amount of coke that is missing in the glass with coke will be present in the lemonade glass. Also, the same quantity of lemonade will be missing from the lemonade glass and will be present in the coke glass.

You can ask this question to any one person, "if I ask the man who is next you: which is the correct way and the road to the village, what would the person next to you answer?"
If you happened to ask this question to the liar, he will show you the wrong way.
And if you happened to ask this question to the one who says truth, he will also show you the wrong way.

A wicked sorcerer felt enmity towards elf and thus he chooses four among the rest of the elf's and concealed them. The elves are concealed in the ground in a manner that apart from their head the rest of their body was underneath the ground. The elf's are unable to move their body and can only see in that direction that they are facing. All the elf's are concealed underground in such a way that they form a straight line and among those four elf's that are concealed underground one of the elf is detached form the other three elf's via wall. The entire elf's are in the same direction. The elf that is the furthest can only see the heads of its friends in front and a wall. The elf that is second last can only see one head of his friend and a wall. The second elf can only view the wall. The elf can see nothing.
The sorcerer understands the situation and tells the elf's that he has placed hats over their heads. Among the hats places two hat are blue and the other two are red. Among all the four elfs one of the elf has to guess that which colour hat is he wearing. If the elf answers correctly then he shall be set free or else he will have to dig beneath the ground till the very last.
f the last elf is taking some time to answer the question then it shall mean that the elf's before him are all wearing distinct coloured hats. However sufficient time shall be given to the last elf to give the answer.
If he views the similar coloured hats in front of him , he shall quickly tell the answer
* They have only one torch and the river is too risky to cross without the torch.
* If all people cross simultaneously then torch light wont be sufficient.
* Speed of each person of crossing the river is different.cross time for each person is 1 min, 2 minutes, 7 minutes and 10 minutes.
What is the shortest time needed for all four of them to cross the river ?
The initial solution most people will think of is to use the fastest person as an usher to guide everyone across. How long would that take? 10 + 1 + 7 + 1 + 2 = 21 minutes. Is that it? No. That would make this question too simple even as a warm up question.
Let's brainstorm a little further. To reduce the amount of time, we should find a way for 10 and 7 to go together. If they cross together, then we need one of them to come back to get the others. That would not be ideal. How do we get around that? Maybe we can have 1 waiting on the other side to bring the torch back. Ahaa, we are getting closer. The fastest way to get 1 across and be back is to use 2 to usher 1 across. So let's put all this together.
