In the figure given below, you can see that there are five squares. Supposedly if this figure is formed using different matchsticks (refer the slight gap between matchsticks), can you remove just two matchsticks so that only two squares remain ?
All Digits [0-9] follow the following pattern: There is one occurrence of all digits in every 10 numbers Example. Digit-9 occurred one time between 10 and 19 in 9, between 20 and 29 in 29
However, for tens(91,92,93...99) and hundreds (900,901.... 999), the occurrence is much more. Since we have included 1000, Therefor 1 is the most occurred digit.
Note: Despite three '0s' in 1000, 0 is not most occurred digit as they don't have tens and hundreds like other digits.

An international IQ test is held on knockout terms in November 2013. The final contestants are from Britain and America respectively. Both of them are handed over the final test paper which they have to fill for evaluation. They have to write their names and date on the paper. When the evaluators are handed over the sheets, they find out that both the guys have same name. In no manner can they identify which sheet belongs to whom.
Can you identify the date on which the competition was held?
The competition was held on 11 November 2013. The logic is simple. In America, the dates are mentioned as Month/Day/Year and in Britain, dates are written as Day/Month/Year. But on 11 November 2013, the date and month will be the same. And thus both will write in the same manner i.e. 11/11/2013. If it would have been any other date, the evaluators would have been able to identify it.

In a closed jar, there are three strawberry candies, two mango candies and five pineapple candies. You can't see inside the jar. Now, how many toffees you must take out from the jar to make sure that you have one of each flavor?
2 < 3 < 5
To find out the required number of candies, take one in place of the least number (i.e. take one mango candy) and then add all the greater numbers (i.e. three strawberry and five pineapple candies) to it.
A confectionary shop owner allows children to purchase a chocolate in exchange of five wrappers of the same chocolate. Children from the locality consumed 77 chocolates in a month. Now, they all collected them together and decide to buy back chocolates.
How many chocolates do you think they can buy using those 77 wrappers ?
The children can purchase 19 chocolates in return.
Out of 77 wrappers, 75 will be used to buy 15 chocolates and two will be left spare.
The 15 chocolates will create 15 empty wrappers that can be exchanged to get three chocolates.
Three chocolates will return three wrappers which will help them buy another chocolate.
Now the wrapper from this chocolate and the two spare that were left earlier will get them another chocolate.
15 + 3 + 1 = 19
Two brothers have developed differences among themselves and thus want to part ways. The problem is that they have one big land that is irregular in shape. Both of them want an equal share which is fairly impossible as there is no way that land could be divided in equal halves due to irregularity in the shape.
The wisest man of the village is called who tells a way in which both of them will be happy even though the land might not be divided into exactly equal halves.
He simply suggested that one of the brothers will be allowed to divide the land but he must take into consideration that it will be the other one who will have a choice of selecting his land between the two halves first.
Thus both will be happy in such manner.
